Luc Mbah a Moute, the 6-6 small forward from Cameroon who plays at Montverde (Flor.) Montverde Academy, has verbally committed to UCLA.

He chose the Bruins over Virginia Tech and South Carolina.

His coach at Montverde, Kevin Sutton, said it was a thorough decision. Sutton said, "After Luc spoke with his father in Cameroon, and in going through the process, he thought it was in his best interests to go to UCLA. He really enjoyed himself on his visit. Its reputation as a school was important, and he felt very comfortable there. It was a tough decision. All three schools were very good. He just felt more comfortable at UCLA. It had everything he was looking for."

The input from his family was very important, according to Sutton. "His father was instrumental in the whole process," Suton said. "The father gathered a lot of information. Academics were a #1 priority. He wants to be an accountant, like his father. Luc is an honor roll student. It really was a family decision."
