"Both of those trips were great. It was cool to see football in the Midwest, and see how serious they take it. Both of the stadiums were awesome," said Oatis.
This weekend, Oatis takes his third, and quite possibly, his final official visit when he trips to Westwood.
"I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I've been to a couple of UCLA games this year, but they were just for the game. My official visit should show me a lot," said Oatis.
Oatis is being recruited by receivers coach Dino Babers, but has a good impression of the whole staff. "I really like the staff there. The coaches are cool and have been real straight forward and honest with me," Oatis said.
Notre Dame and Ohio State have been his longtime leaders, but Oatis, who has over a dozen offers, said the Bruins had pulled themselves even with those two.
"My family really likes the fact UCLA is local and they could come see my games," said Oatis. "After this trip, I should have a real good idea of where I want to go. It's really just those three schools."
On the 2004 season, Oatis has helped lead the Cowboys to a 6-1 record and has a pair of interceptions.
He has a 4.1 GPA and a 960 on his SAT, qualifying him for college.
