Senior guard <b>Cedric Bozeman</b> suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in practice Thursday and is out for the season.

Bozeman suffered a torn ACL in his right knee Thursday in practice. Test were done late Thursday that confirmed the ACL tear.

He'll undergo surgery sometime in the near future.

This type of injury usually takes 8-9 months to heal.

Bozeman will have the option of redshirting this season and returning next season as a fifth-year senior.

It's a tough blow for Bozeman, who sat out seven games as a freshman because of an injury to the same knee. he underwent arthroscopic surgery on the knee that winter. His sophomore season, Bozeman injured his shoulder, which caused him to miss eight games that season and undergo shoulder surgery.

He is UCLA's returning assist leader from a year ago and was expected to be one of its best players at both point guard and the wing positions this season.
