Alex Potasi, 6-6, 320, Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne, said UCLA is still his leader.
"My favorite is still UCLA," he said. "Right now I'm pretty sure that's where I want to go."
Potasi has visited UCLA, Washington, and has plans to visit Cal this weekend with his Narbonne teammate, Marcus O'Keith, who has already verbaly committed to Cal. Has O'Keith been trying to sway him toward Cal? "Sure," Potasi said. "He's trying to recruit me. We were trying to go to the same school, so it's a little bit of an influence. He just keeps telling me to come with him."
Potasi said, though, that right now after UCLA, Washington would probably be his second choice.
The massive offensive line prospect said he wants to make up his mind pretty soon. "I'll take the trip to Cal, but then I'll decide soon after that trip. If I don't commit to Cal, I'll probably commit to UCLA after the trip."
Potasi was invited to play in the CaliFlorida game, but was a no-show. He said that the day he was supposed to attend the first practice he had to go to a funeral. And then, the next day his doctor advised him against playing because of a stinger he suffered in his neck and shoulder. He's scheduled for an MRI on January 22nd.
