Joseph is still waiting for his first offer, but thinks the longer he keeps playing, the sooner that first offer comes.
"I'm not too worried. I know a lot of guys got their offers late from here. Our coach is really strict about taking trips. We don't visit until after our season, and we don't really go to any camps," said Joseph.
Joseph has strong football bloodlines. He is the nephew of Green Bay Packers defensive backs coach Lionel Washington, and the cousin of LSU defensive back Sammy Joseph and former CU star/coach Vance Joseph.
"Coach (Eric) Bieniemy was here this weekend, and I played well. I had an interception and we won pretty easily," said Joseph. "Coach Bieniemy is a real good coach. He is a nice, intelligent person."
The Patriots are the top ranked team in Louisiana and ranked #13 in the USA Today National Poll, and Joseph has been a solid presence in the JCC secondary, with 45 tackles and 3 interceptions.
Joseph said he keeps in regular contact with fellow JCC alums Fred Holmes, Aaron Meyer and Chris Johnson. He said, "I hear from those guys a lot. We are a family. Going there, and being there with them would be great. I'll see them over Thanksgiving."
Joseph has a 2.6 GPA and will take his ACT in December.
