"It was a real good trip," said Dewitty. "The Rose Bowl was great, and they (UCLA) gave them (USC) a real good game. I thought they were going to pull it out."
Dewitty was hosted on his trip by UCLA freshman safety Chris Horton. "He was real cool," said Dewitty. "I liked the players at UCLA."
With a half dozen offers to date, Dewitty will take what he says are the last of his three official visits this weekend and next weekend. He'll go to Arizona State this weekend, one of his favorites since the beginning, and the one school that said he can start out as a running back, the position he prefers.
Next weekend, it's off to Kansas State, for what Dewitty says would probably be his last visit. "I'll probably make my decision not too much after that," said Dewitty.
UCLA and Kansas State are recruiting him as an athlete.
This past summer, Dewitty attended UCLA's Four-Day Camp, and spent time working with the defensive backs, while also getting a chance to check out the UCLA campus.
This year, Dewitty had a monstrous senior year, rushing for nearly 2,200 yards and 38 touchdowns for Cherry Creek.
He has a 3.0 GPA and will take his SAT at a later date.
