Antwuan Smith is on the Verge

The talented wide receiver prospect from Clovis, California, said he's finished his visits, has narrowed it to two schools, and will decide in a couple of days. And he also says one school has a "very slim" lead...

Antwuan Smith, 5-11, 180, Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan, said he's not taking his official visit to Georgia Tech and will decided between UCLA and Oregon within the next couple of days.

"It's UCLA or Oregon," Smith said. "UCLA has a lead, but a very slim one. I don't know by how much. I'll know by the end of the week."

Why by the end of this week? "Because I'll have the chance to think about it more and talk to the coaches."

Smith was scheduled to have an in-home visit with UCLA Head Coach Bob Toledo and offensive coordinator and running backs coach Kelly Skipper yesterday. He said, though, that he wanted to "hold out and not commit" when they came to his house, and intended to wait until Saturday to decide. "I think that gives me enough time to think about it," he said.

Oregon came to his high school Tuesday.
