Houston Worthing running back Deon Wallace (5-8, 180) has been hearing from UCLA since the beginning of the month, and will take his official visit on Friday.
He has also visited Kansas State and Louisiana-Lafayette, and has offers from both as well as "4-5 other schools," he said.
"UCLA started recruiting me about three weeks ago. They haven't offered me, but I hope they will on my trip," said Wallace.
As a senior, Wallace rushed for more than 1,800 yards and scored 27 touchdowns, 4 by air and 1 by kick return.
"I don't have a leader right now, but it's between Kansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette and UCLA," said Wallace.
He will take his trip and decide amongst the three schools when he returns. "My family wants me to make the best decision for me. I've never been to California, but it's not too far for them. I'm looking forward to seeing the campus."
Wallace attended the Texas A&M Nike Camp, but didn't get to do much as the Camp was rained out. "It rained up there, so I didn't get to show what I could do. My best forty was a 4.49 as a junior, but I could do better than that now."
Wallace has a 2.7 GPA and an 840 SAT.
