Taylor Harrison, 6-8 JR C San Clemente (Calif.) High. Harrison's skills have improved a little since we last saw him. He's got a decent touch out to about fifteen feet and his back-to-the-basket game has improved as well. He's one of the more physical and aggressive players we've seen in some time. He'll probably never be a big scorer, but he'll have a role as a guy who defends, sets screens and rebounds. A high major prospect.
Dane Suttle, 6-3 SO SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Westchester. In addition to Johnson, Suttle was one of the keys in Westchester's win over Fairfax. Suttle has a very smooth stroke and an excellent feel for the game. He made several very nice passes in the fourth quarter. For a young kid, he plays with very good poise.
Chace Stanback, 6-6 SO SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax. A silky-smooth wing with a very good stroke to the stripe, Stanback ranks among the top wing prospects in the west for 2007. He's got a young face, and still hasn't matured yet physically, so it will be interesting to see Stanback a year from now. He's a good, not great, athlete. Ball handling is adequate, as is his defense. We like his unselfishness. Even though he's a very good scorer, he makes the extra pass. With continued development, a high major prospect.
David Foster, 6-11 JR C Lake Forest (Calif.) El Toro. Foster has made remarkable strides since the first time we saw him back in December. We've seen him play three games now and he's been better each time. He's improved his ability to post up and he's now an offensive threat if he gets the ball in the low post. At the defensive end, he causes problems inside just by putting his hands straight up. He's definitely a mid-major prospect and quite possibly higher.
Curtis Eatmon, 6-2 JR PG Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos. Eatmon just returned to action after missing several weeks, so it's difficult for us to give an evaluation off the performance we saw last night. He's got all the physical tools you look for – great size and length, very good athlete. His shot is good enough at this point, but could be cleaned up. The biggest issue for him at this time is a below-average handle. He has a very high dribble and he needs to work on that to be a point guard at the high major level.
