Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne defensive tackle Tim High (6-2, 298) has received one scholarship offer so far, but has several schools who have been pursuing him.

UNLV is High's lone official offer to date, yet he continues to hear from most of the Pac-10 schools, as well as Nebraska, Miami and Fresno State.

"My top six schools are UNLV, Arizona, USC, California, Miami and UCLA," said High. "I'm very wide open, though I do like UNLV since they have offered me, and I like USC a lot too."

High attended the Combine in Los Angeles earlier this spring, clocking a 5.55 forty and jumping 22 inches in the vertical.

"I'm more of an on-the-field player. I do better with the pads on then I do at camps," said High.

During his junior season, High had 63 tackles, 13 for losses, and a pair of sacks while on offense he registered 43 pancakes. He said, "I see my future being on the defensive side of the ball. I like to play offensive tackle, but I'd much rather play defensive line."

High said he isn't in any kind of rush to make a decision, choosing to instead see what offers will be made available to him. "Me and my family want to wait for the best offer, not just make a quick decision," said High.

In the classroom, High has a 3.1 GPA and took the SAT in May.
