Hall Maintains His Top Two

Ray Hall, the 6-9 center, will be moving from Colorado to play his senior year in Lakewood, Calif. at Artesia High. And the two top college programs in Southern California are the leaders in Hall's recruitment...

Ray Hall, 6-9 SR C Lakwood (Calif.) Artesia, made his debut a week ago with his new high school team in a summer event and we asked him how it went.

"It was good," said Hall. "I like playing with those guys."

A month ago, Hall told us that USC and UCLA were the top two schools on his list, primarily because those were the only schools he had visited. We asked him if the two Pac-10 programs still top his list.

"Yes, those are still the top two," said Hall. "I'm listening to other programs, but those are the main two."

Hall took unofficial visits to the Southern California schools and we asked about the possibility of taking official visits.

"I think the unofficials were good enough – I may not take official visits." Hall said he doesn't have any current plans to visit other schools.

When questioned about the timing of his decision, Hall said, "I think I'm getting close. But I probably won't decide until after July."

Hall has a busy schedule in the next six weeks. "I'm going to the NBA Players camp, the And 1 nationals (with Artesia), I might go to UCLA's camp, then ABCD, the Big Time and maybe a tournament in New York after the Big Time."
