Though it will be tough to get him out of the South, UCLA has shown interest in Baton Rouge (LA.) Scotlandville offensive lineman Daverin Geralds (6-3, 285).

The athletic two-way lineman has two scholarship offers, from Duke and Ole Miss, and three more schools in his neck of the woods round out his top five: Oklahoma, Tennessee and hometown school LSU.

"I'm getting a lot of family pressure to stay close to home," said Geralds. "Growing up close to LSU, people want me to go there. But right now I'm pretty wide open."

Amongst the other schools of interest to Geralds are Stanford, Florida, Northwestern and UCLA.

"From those, I'm probably hearing from Stanford the most. But Coach (Eric) Bieniemy from UCLA has sent me a lot of stuff, called me, and came by the school and we talked about the Louisiana players they have there. They are a school I have some interest in."

Geralds was invited to the Scout Combine in New Orleans and clocked a 5.2 forty. He is unsure of his summer plans, camp-wise. A trip to LSU's camp was initially scheduled for him.

"I don't know what I'll do this summer. I won't make an early decision. I want to take a few visits, and then I'll decide. Probably after my season," Geralds said.

Academically, Geralds has no struggles, sporting a 4.57 GPA and a 21 on the ACT.
