VIDEO: Thursday's Seven-on-Seven

The UCLA football players conduct another informal seven-on-seven workout Thursday, and we have video clips of it, with great footage of Drew Olson, Ben Olson, Marcedes Lewis and Jarrad Page...

The players were supposed to go seven-on-seven against a JC team Thursday, but the JC cancelled. In the immortal words of Ben Olson, they were afraid of the "big, bad Bruins."

A few players were absent, notably on offense Maurice Drew, Derrick Williams, and Michael Pitre, while Junior Taylor sat out. Taylor did say Tuesday that he felt a twinge in his hamstring. Absent on defense were Justin London, Wesley Walker, Danny Nelson, Dennis Keyes, and Byron Velega.

Incoming freshmen who participated were Ryan Moya, Adam Heater, Kahlil Bell, Bret Lockett and Osaar Rasshan. Shawn Oatis and Jamil Turner were there, but didn't participate.

We don't have the entire hour's worth of seven-on-seven reps on video. On plays we didn't get, Moya actually looked very good, quick and with good hands, on a couple of receptions. Physically, Brett Lockett is very impressive-looking.
