Manteca (Calif.) High cornerback Michael Turner (5-11, 165) has five scholarship offers so far, including three from the Pac-10, yet is hoping that the two Los Angeles schools will get into the mix.

To date, Arizona, Fresno State, Washington, Washington State and Nevada have offered Turner, but it's the schools who haven't expressed much interest that he is hoping will get involved.

"I've got those offers, and then I'm hearing from Oregon, Arizona State and Utah, but I'm not hearing a whole lot from UCLA or USC, even though I'd really like to. Miami is another school I wish I was hearing more from, but those two, I would definitely have an interest in if they got more involved," said Turner.

Turner said his two favorites were Fresno State and Arizona, with the Wildcats being the close leader.

"I want to wait and see if UCLA or USC got more involved, but if they don't I'll most likely choose Arizona," Turner said.

Turner was active this past spring with the camp and combine circuit, attending the Nike Camp at Stanford and the Scout.com Combine in Berkeley.

"I thought I was one of the better prospects there. I did well at the Scout combine. I ran a 4.46 and jumped 30 inches. At Nike, my forty was 4.8 but I jumped 33 inches," said Turner.

His lone other camp was a Fresno State team camp.

During his junior season, Turner had 50 tackles, with eight interceptions including three he returned for touchdowns. He also had three punt returns for touchdowns.

Turner has a 2.6 GPA and is planning to take the SAT in the fall.
