Rome (GA.) linebacker Toryan Smith (6-0, 241), one of the best linebacker prospects in the southeast, has arranged four of his five official visits, and is still deciding on which school will get the last one.

"I'm going to Oklahoma this weekend," said Smith. "It's their season opener so I will be there for that."

Smith will then visit Notre Dame on October 15th, Michigan on November 19th and Florida State a week later.

That still leaves one trip available for Smith. And he has three schools that will be fighting for that last spot.

"I'm liking UCLA a lot right now. Coach (Karl) Dorrell and Coach (Eric) Bieniemy are really cool. I got to meet Coach Bieniemy when I was out there for an unofficial (which he took in May) and we hit it off," said Smith. "They are probably going to get the fifth trip. But Nebraska and Washington are still there, too. I like Coach (Ty) Willingham a lot, too. He started recruiting me when he was at Notre Dame and kept recruiting me when he left for Washington."

Smith said he would make a decision until after his visits, which likely won't happen until early December.

With Smith having already played two games of his senior season, he has 19 tackles in two games and three pass break-ups.

"I'm definitely glad to be back out there on the field. I've been working hard for this year. It's game time," said Smith.

Academically, he has a 3.1 GPA and scored a solid 19 on the ACT.
