NorCal Linebacker Works Out Visits

The 6-2, 245-pound linebacker from Fairfield, Calif., Jamarr Robinson, has arranged one official visit so far, while he waits to sort out the rest of the schools he could visit...

Fairfield (Calif.) High linebacker Jamarr Robinson (6-2, 245) has set up his first official visit for September, and while he has a solid top five, he's waiting on scholarship offers from four of them.

"I'm going to Arizona State on September 17th. I'd like to take all five of my trips, but if I really like it, I could end up committing there," said Robinson. "I like the staff and the school and they play good football there."

Rounding out his top five are Utah, Oklahoma, LSU and Ole Miss.

"I've gotten offers from Arizona State, UCLA, Colorado, Colorado State, San Jose State, Nevada, San Diego State, Washington State and Washington," said Robinson.

Robinson said that the Bruins and the Buffs both have a chance to get in his top five if the other schools in his top five don't show much interest.

"UCLA and Colorado are right there too, but we'll see what happens," said Robinson. "I got a lot of offers after May, so I'm hoping I'll get some more after September 1st."

Robinson has yet to set up the other four visits because he wants to see his options before deciding on those trips. The next couple of weeks will go a long way in determining that.

"I know I just need to go out there and perform and then the offers will come. We've got a strong defense and I'm playing middle ‘backer so I'm leading the defense and I'll be able to make plays," said Robinson.

This past spring, Robinson attended the Nike Camp at Stanford and was at UCLA's 1-Day Camp.

Robinson says he's fully qualified academically.
