Holding over 40 scholarship offers, Taylor said about half of those schools have called, but because he is trying to focus on his senior year, he is nowhere near narrowing it down to the five schools he will visit. He did say there are a few he's pretty certain about visiting, though.
"I'll most likely visit UCLA, Oklahoma and Texas A&M, but I don't know the rest," said Taylor.
Taylor said he was "100% wide open" and that he would narrow it down to five as the season went along.
Recruiting Taylor for UCLA is defensive backs coach Gary DeLoach, a Texas native. "Coach DeLoach said he wanted me to set up a trip with them, so we just need to work on the date," said Taylor.
Taylor said he wouldn't take any trips until Mansfield's season is complete.
Mansfield began their season last weekend, and Taylor was active, recording almost 10 tackles, with six coming for loss, though they dropped the opener 28-7.
"I was getting double- and triple-teamed the whole game, but still did some stuff," said Taylor.
Academically, Taylor has a 3.3 GPA and took the ACT in the spring.
