VIDEO: Karl Dorrell's PC, Part 1

Head Coach Karl Dorrell addresses the media in his weekly Monday press conference, talking about the Cal game, Washington State, the injured, Maurice Drew, Drew Olson and more...

A few notes:

-- The Oct. 22 game against Oregon State at the Rose Bowl will kickoff at 4 p.m. and be broadcast nationally on TBS.

-- While freshman John Hale started the game against Cal, Wesley Walker played most of the game at outside linebacker. Hale is still listed as the starter this week.

-- Sophomore Fred Holmes has moved ahead of junior Danny Nelson, to the #2 middle linebacker.

-- The word is that true freshman middle linebacker Reggie Carter has looked exceptional on the scout team, to the point that there has been some speculation that he could be pulled out of his redshirt year.

-- While Matt Slater is healthy and supposed to be apart of the six-man receiver rotation, he hasn't seen action in the last two games. Matt Willis also hasn't played at receiver. The receiver rotation consists of five receivers, Marcus Everett, Joe Cowan, Brandon Breazell, Gavin Ketchum and Andrew Baumgartner.

-- Offensive lineman P.J. Irvin did not dress for the game.

-- The depth chart lists Michael Norris as the second-string right cornerback, but redshirt freshman Byron Velega has apparently moved at least even with Norris. Norris has seen most of his time as the nickel back.

-- Running back Derrick Williams should be recovered from his concussive symptoms from last week.

-- Safety Chris Horton, reportedly, is expected to return for the Oregon State game.

-- Head Coach Karl Dorrell addresses more issues in terms of personnel, and more, in his comments below.
