Having already taken one official visit, Carter will spend the first three weeks in December out on the road.
"I went to Fresno State three weeks ago and it went really well," said Carter. "Then I go three weeks in December. I'm not sure where I will take the fifth visit to."
Carter will begin the month in Corvallis when he visits Oregon State on December 3rd. The following week, he'll stay local, visiting hometown UNLV. He'll then trip to Nebraska the weekend of the 16th.
All four of the schools he's set to visit have offered him scholarships. With that last, fifth visit, he does have a school in mind he'd like to use it on. Carter said, "I'm trying to get an official visit to UCLA. (UCLA) Coach (Brian) Schneider said that they wanted to see some more tape, but they haven't offered me. I took an unofficial visit there this summer and went to the camp. If they offered me, I'd take my last trip there."
Carter said that he wants to take all five official visits to ensure he is seeing every aspect of a school. "I don't want to decide until I take all of my trips. I would rather see all the places and see what I have to choose from then deciding before I've seen them all," Carter said.
Playing both corner and free safety, Carter leads Cheyenne in tackles and interceptions while also scoring 15 touchdowns on offense. They are 7-3 on the year and are into the second round of the state playoffs.
Academically, Carter has a 3.0 GPA and scored a 1,250 on the new SAT and an 18 on the ACT.
