"Man, it went good," said Giddens. "I had a real good time out there. Maurice Drew was my host and we hung out some with the other guys from down here."
Giddens did say, though, that he is still committed to LSU. "I'm still pretty solid, about 90% right now. I'm about 10% to UCLA, but you never know. I wanted to see UCLA some more and talk with the coaches. I was there for the camp (this summer) and this was one more informative visit," said Giddens.
Giddens is originally from Southern California and said that if he were to change his mind from his LSU commitment, the only other school he'd consider would be UCLA. "If I decided that LSU wasn't the place for me, then UCLA is where I'd go. But like I said, I'm still solid with LSU and I'm taking my official visit there next month," said Giddens. "That's probably the only other one I'm taking, but maybe I'll take one to another school, but I'm not even sure yet who it would be."
Recruiting Giddens has been UCLA running backs coach Eric Bieniemy. Giddens said that Bieniemy stayed in touch with him despite his verbal to LSU. "Coach Bieniemy is a real cool guy. I met with all of the coaches when I was there, and I get a long real well with them," said Giddens.
