Harris attended the recent U.S. Army All-American Combine in San Antonio and was named to the All-Combine First Team. He showed a good ability to get open downfield and use his body to work defenders and make the catch. He also looked good in the one-on-one drills, using his big frame to keep the linebackers from being able to bump him.
Though it is still early for Harris, he listed five schools that he has an interest in. "UCLA, Arizona, Nebraska, USC and Nevada are my top five schools right now," said Harris. "UCLA is my favorite. I went to their camp last summer and I'm friends with (former Serra player) Tony Lee."
Harris said he would like to take some time in his recruitment, with no intention to make an early decision.
"I'm going to go to the UCLA camp again this summer and then to the USC camp too," said Harris. "I'm not going to rush a decision. I want to take some trips."
As a junior, Harris had only 13 catches for 145 yards in a running offense, but on defense, had an all-Del Rey League season, recording 40 tackles and 6.5 sacks as a defensive end.
Academically, Harris said he has a 3.0 and would be taking the SAT at the end of January.
