Compton (Calif.) Dominguez tackle Sonny Tevaga (6-4, 325), one of UCLA's seven offensive line commitments, finally took his official visit to Westwood, where he was greeted by a fairly familiar face.

"My brother (Shannon Tevaga) was my host," said Sonny. "It was very fun. He showed me a lot this weekend, and we had a good time."

Tevaga was one of two offensive line commits on their official trip last weekend, joining La Puente Bishop Amat's Brandon Bennett. And because of Shannon's presence at UCLA, Sonny said he and Bennett had an easy time hanging out with the current linemen.

"I feel very comfortable at UCLA," said Tevaga. "I know a lot of the guys because of Shannon and I've been around them a lot. Coach (Tom) Cable is a very good coach and is really cool. I spent a lot of time talking with him."

A tackle for Dominguez, Tevaga said that the UCLA coaches have talked with him about moving to guard, a move that he is embracing. "They want me to play guard, and they said I could come in and play next year. It would be cool to play guard when Shannon is too," said Tevaga.

Tevaga will likely play strongside guard, though he gave no indication that it has been decided. Now, he'll spend time working out and maintaining his weight before coming to campus in the summer.

"The coaches want me at the weight I am at now," said Tevaga. "I've lost a lot of weight, but they said where I'm at now is good and to just stay at that. I'm going to work out and get stronger. I'm qualified now too, so I can focus on working out."
