"It was a pretty good trip," said Green. "I met with all of the coaches, Coach (Karl) Dorrell, Coach (Jim) Svoboda and Coach (Brian) Schneider."
Also taking his official visit this weekend was Green's prep teammate and UCLA-committed kicker Kai Forbath.
"Kai's trying a little bit to convince me to come with him," Green said.
Green was scheduled to visit Texas A&M last weekend before the Trojans offered him, and he had said that he could visit Nebraska or Texas A&M next weekend, but Green feels like he's seen what he needs to and will spend the next few days deciding between the Bruins and the Trojans, with Harvard still in the mix.
"It's pretty much down to UCLA, USC and Harvard," said Green. "I don't think I'm going to take any more trips, but it could happen. I think, though, that I'll know sometime this week."
For most of the recruiting season, Green sat on offers from San Diego State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Kansas State, before an early January flurry produced offers from Arizona State, Nebraska, USC and UCLA. He also had visited Harvard in December.
After initially not getting much interest from the two hometown schools, other than invites to games and some letters, both staffs offered him the same week, allowing him to narrow down his choice.
"Both schools said that they would bring me in as a quarterback, and I've got a chance to be the No. 3 quarterback both places," Green said. "UCLA said if quarterback didn't work out then they'd like to move me to safety."
Academically, Green is fully qualified.
