SoCal QB Has UCLA High On List

Orange (Calif.) Lutheran quarterback Aaron Corp is one of the top three signal-callers in Southern California, and he talks about what schools he's hearing from, including an early leader.

A position that UCLA will be looking to add at least one prospect to in the class of 2007 is quarterback.

And one of their top targets is Orange (Calif.) Lutheran signal-caller Aaron Corp (6-3, 185), a strong-armed and mobile prospect from one of the top programs in the O.C.

"I'd say at this point, UCLA is my leader," said Corp. "I don't have any offers right now, but UCLA and California are the two schools I'm hearing from the most."

In addition to the Bruins and Bears, Corp is getting consistent correspondence from Ohio State, Colorado, Oregon State and Utah.

"I went to some UCLA games this year," said Corp. "Thurmond Moore had been the coach I talked with the most before."

Corp said he would like to make an early decision, if at all possible.

"I can see myself committing if I like what I have. I'd like to make an early decision," said Corp.

He didn't know what his plans for combines and camps were just yet, saying that he'd discuss that with the coaches at Orange Lutheran.

"We'll talk about what camps to go to and what not to go to. If I get invited to an Elite 11 regional camp or the Elite 11 camp, I'd go to that," Corp said.

Corp has been invited to UCLA's Junior Day, which he said he plans to attend. He's also been invited to Notre Dame's summer camp.

"I'd prefer to stay out west, but I'm always thinking of schools. I always looked at a school like Miami or some of the big SEC schools as schools I'd strongly consider," said Corp.

During his junior year, Corp threw for 1,800 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 650 yards and eight touchdowns.

Academically, Corp said he was in the 3.2 range for GPA and would be taking the SAT in the spring.
