Pritchett, a second team all-state underclass selection and first team all-section pick in 2005, has one scholarship offer, from Arizona, but one Pac-10 school in particular is leading for him.
"I'm really thinking a lot about UCLA," said Pritchett. "I think I would commit if they offered me. It's a good academic school and it is really good for sports. UCLA would just be a good situation for me."
Pritchett was invited to UCLA's Junior Day, but couldn't make the trip down, yet his interest in the Bruins wasn't affected, he says.
"Recruiting has been going good altogether," Pritchett said. "We're probably not going to do any combines or camps, just trying instead to focus on our season and our team"
Pritchett said he is open to leave the state for college, as is his family, but that they preferred he stayed close to home, which he would like to do.
During his junior season, Pritchett had 135 tackles and nine sacks for Grant, leading them to the section semifinal.
Academically, Pritchett has a 3.5 GPA and took the SAT on Saturday.
