One of Stanback's best attributes is his feel for the game. He rarely forces the action and his decision-making is outstanding.
We spoke with Stanback's father on Saturday and asked about his son's recruitment.
Asked if the list is pretty firm at those five schools, Stanback said, "No, we're still open to hearing from other programs."
Stanback said there is no rush for his son to make a decision.
"It will be sometime before the start of his senior year," said Stanback. "Right now, we don't have any visits lined up and we haven't talked with any of the schools about setting dates for visits."
We asked Mr. Stanback what his son is looking for in a school.
"A place with good academics, someplace where he feels like he fits in," said Mr. Stanback. "He's a team player, so it needs to be someplace with the right kind of program and system for him. As far as getting playing time, that's going to depend on him. He has to earn time no matter where he goes.
Mr. Stanback previously told us his son is doing fine in school and will have no trouble qualifying.
