Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco has been a nice feeder school to UCLA in recent years.

At one point, six former Braves were on the Bruin roster, and UCLA's staff is continuing to recruit there, with receiver Dale Qualls (6-4, 180) one of the current St. John Bosco prospects UCLA is showing interested in.

"I'm hearing from UCLA a lot," said Qualls. "They've got some players from here on their team, so I've watched them."

Washington State and Washington, though, are the two schools that Qualls has been hearing from the mos, while he also had a Pac-10 favorite. "I was looking at Cal earlier, and I wish they'd start calling me more, cause that was my favorite," said Qualls.

Still, Qualls said he is open at this point as he continues to work for his first offer. "I don't have any offers yet, but I'm going to all the camps and combines to try and get more looks," said Qualls.

He will be at the Scout.com Combine this weekend, the Adidas Camp next weekend at UCLA and had been to the L.A. Nike Camp earlier this spring.

Qualls said he is getting looks at both receiver and safety, but would like to go back to his original position. "I want to go back to quarterback. I started out there, but then my coaches moved me to receiver. I'd rather play quarterback, but I'm probably playing receiver in college," said Qualls.

Academically, Qualls said he would have no trouble qualifying.
