Naylor, 6-3, 270, 4.9, Tulsa Union high school is getting plenty of interest from in-state schools Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but he may just head west to the first school that offer him a scholarship – UCLA.
"My favorites schools right now are UCLA and Oklahoma," Naylor said.
Asked why UCLA is doing so well with him, "I have family (aunt, uncle and three cousins live in the Los Angeles area) there, I really like it out there and they are recruiting me the hardest. The UCLA guys (coaches) were real cool to talk to But I'm still getting a ton of mail from OU and OSU."
As far as visits, he says one school is a lock. "I definitely want to trip to UCLA, but other than that I don't know yet." As far as a time frame for making a decision – "I just want to go out there (UCLA) and see the campus first. There is no rush."
He is getting plenty of attention from a number of schools. "Lately, the schools I'm hearing from the most are UCLA, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas and Kansas State. Naylor has attended camps at both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State this summer.
His entire high school team attended the OSU camp. Tulsa Union finished this past season with a record of 11-1. Naylor made 47 unassisted tackles and had eight sacks last season. He also plays offensive guard, but is being recruited to play on defense. UCLA among others is also actively recruiting Naylor's teammate OL/DL Blake Smith.
He is a good student who is already qualified with a 3.3 GPA and a 24 on the ACT.
