Detroit (Mich.) Mumford cornerback Cedric Everson (6-1.5, 180), the No. 7-ranked cornerback nationally by Scout.com, was supposed to be visiting the West Coast this weekend.

But the gifted sprinter and football player was forced to reschedule again because of a track obligation.

"I'm at a track meet right now, so I didn't go out there," said Everson Sunday. "It is a track meet for the Junior Olympics. I'm dreaming of being an all-American."

Everson said that his trip to Los Angeles, in which he is planning to visit UCLA and USC unofficially, is still slated to happen this summer, though he isn't sure exactly when.

"I called UCLA and let them know I wasn't going to be able to come out there and they were cool about it. They said they want me to come out sometime before my season starts. I am still planning on taking that trip," said Everson.

Everson has stated on numerous occasions that UCLA is one of his top three schools along with Georgia Tech and Penn State. UCLA has yet to have Everson visit. USC is also in the mix for Everson.

During his junior year, Everson had 13 interceptions and he returned 10 of those for touchdowns. He also returned 10 punts and kicks for touchdowns

Everson is one of the Michigan's top runners, doing the 100m, 200m and 400m. He's reportedly ran a 4.29 forty.

Academically, he is fully qualified.
