California Top 100 Prospects releases its Pre-Season California Rankings of the Top 100 football prospects for the class of 2007. The list is cluttered with UCLA commits and recruits. And the list comes courtesy of the newest addition to the football recruiting expert team -- Randy Taylor... will release five new state rankings every day, and California was one of the five states released for the first day.

The new pre-season California ranking is the first work of one of's new additions to its football recruiting team -- Randy Taylor.

Taylor has signed on to become's West Coast Regional Manager. He'll oversee west coast scouting and evaluations, bringing some deep connections to the California high school recruiting scene, and a first-hand insider perspective on college football recruiting.

Taylor, for the two people out there who don't know, is the former Director of Football Operations at UCLA. Before that he worked in a similar capacity at UNLV and Illinois. In college, Taylor was an all-Big Ten center with the Illini, and was in camp with the Oakland Raiders before an injury ended his career. Since leaving UCLA four years ago, he has run Taylor's Scouting Service, easily considered the best scouting service for the state of California, with some of the best programs in the country having come to rely heavily on Taylor for his evaluations of California players.

Sometimes, when judging scouts, some people like to bring up the fact that some scouts never played the game, or never coached. Taylor puts an end to that.

We at BRO consider Taylor almost one of our own, and are ecstatic to welcome Taylor into the family.

Taylor will work together with the state experts in the west -- Jason Jewell (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado), Brandon Huffman (California, Nevada), and Chris Fetters (Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska) to bring you the best coverage of west coast football recruiting coverage.
