Texas A&M: Brown took an unofficial to A&M during his junior year and it made an impression. "I had a great time," he said. He cites the campus and the atmosphere, as well as the fans that "bleed maroon and white down there."
Texas: He recently took an unofficial visit to Texas and said he was impressed with the "family atmosphere." A few current Longhorn players – Roy Williams, Nathan Vasher and Chris Simms – made him feel comfortable. Of Mack Davis, Brown said, "He's a great coach."
Ohio State: The OSU coaching staff has impressed Brown on the phone. Brown likes the big stadium and OSU's winning tradition. "They always seem to be in the top ten," he said.
UCLA: "It's California," he said. He visited UCLA as a freshman for a basketball tournament and said he loved the campus. "They have palm trees. You don't get palms trees in Texas," he said. He also cited the UCLA coaching staff as being "great to talk to on the phone." He also said he particularly liked "the academic and football reputation."
Florida State: "It's always been my childhood dream to play for Florida St," Brown said, and he still has an affection for his childhood favorite. He said he likes Bobby Bowden and the state of Florida. They are still his favorite from childhood. He likes Bobby Bowden and the state of Florida.
Florida: Brown said he thought that Florida had a great program, "but he looks "at it a little differently since Spurrier is not there anymore."
When asked if those six schools were concrete, set in stone, Brown responded, "Yeah…but there are still other schools I'm looking at, though."
