Kevin Love Watch: 38 Points, 25 Rebounds

Kevin Love, the 6-9 senior center from Lake Oswego (Ore.) High, who is committed to UCLA, started out his senior season quite well.

Love scored 38 points and had 28 rebounds in the season-opening win for Lake Oswego over Portland Lincoln, 6-48.

Love had 15 points and eight rebounds in the first quarter, scoring on three dunks and one three-pointer. On one play he dribbled behind-the-back to get around a defender before finishing with a two-hand dunk.

Love, who is considered the best big man prospect in the nation, has a great deal to play for in his high school senior season. His Lake Oswego team is the defending state champion. Love, also is pursuing the all-time state scoring championship, and could be the state of Oregon's first three-time player of the year.

So far in his high school career Love is averaging 25 points and 15 rebounds per game.

Love has signed a National Letter of Intent for UCLA and will enroll in the fall of 2007.
