UCLA is Still No. 1

The Bruins are the consensus #1-ranked team in the country for the second straight week, after both the AP and the ESPN/USA Today polls were released today. The polls agree on the top seven teams in the nation, and a fourth Pac-10 school makes it in the top 25 this week...

UCLA was again voted #1 in both the AP Poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, its second week being the consensus #1.

UCLA was ranked #1 in the AP poll and #2 in the coaches' poll three weeks ago.

This week, UCLA picked up some more first-place votes, too: three in the AP poll and one in the coaches' poll.

For the first time in the six weeks of this season's poll, the first four schools are identical in both polls. In fact, there's a consensus in both polls among the top seven schools.

The Pac-10 has four schools in both rankings, including Arizona (10, 11), Washington (17, 14), and Oregon (22, 24), with the undefeated Ducks making their first appearance this week.
