Bryce Givens was named first team all-conference as a freshman. "I am very aggressive and I think I am a real good pass-blocker," Givens says. "I also think I have pretty good technique."

The lineman has already received written offers from Colorado, Illinois, Kansas State, Michigan, Minnesota, UCLA, and Washington. "Kansas State was my first offer and then Washington just offered last Friday so that one should be in the mail."

Of the schools that have extended scholarships, just a few are on his top eight list. "My top three are Texas, USC and Notre Dame. I also like Michigan, UCLA, Nebraska, Florida, and I guess you could put Colorado in there. I don't have a leader."

He has taken unofficial visits to Colorado, Kansas State, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. "I think I am going to go back for Colorado's junior day on March 17th. I was going to go to Nebraska's but we were snowed in. I will probably go back there for their spring game."

His parents are sort of leaning towards South Bend. "They are high on academics so they really like Notre Dame."

The O-lineman is also real high on academics as he carries a 3.6 core GPA and is awaiting his SAT score. He would like to major in something that has to do with Sports like Sports Management, Physiology or Kinesiology. Another possible major would be Business Management.

As for summer camps, things are tentative but Givens would like to make it to USC and Notre Dame for their team camps or elite days. He says it depends on what schools have offered come summer time. He will also attempt to attend the Scout.com combine in Los Angeles.

Givens states that of all the schools recruiting that at this point CU, Minnesota and UCLA are showing the most interest. "I would say those three are recruiting the hardest right now. Colorado is the in-state school so of course I will definitely give them a look. But, I might be leaning towards heading out-of-state."
Givens grew up as a fan of Ohio State and then started leaning towards rooting for the Longhorns.
