BRUINS ARE PAC-10 CHAMPIONS

The #2 Bruins beat #13 Washington State, 53-45, in Pullman, Washington, Thursday night to win the Pac-10 Championship outright, for the second straight year under Head Coach Ben Howland, and the 29th time in UCLA history. The UCLA Bruins won the 2006-2007 Pac-10 Championship Thursday night when they beat Washington State, 53-45, in Pullman, Washington.

The win puts UCLA at 15-2 in the Pac-10, now three games ahead of second-place Washington State, with just one game remaining.

Arron Afflalo led all scorers with 14 points, with Josh Shipp adding 13. Darren Collison had 7 assists against two turnovers.

UCLA is now 26-3 overall and 15-2 in the Pac-10, and almost assured of a #1 seed in the Pac-10 tournament, and more than likely the #1 overall seed.

It's UCLA's 29th conference championship. The last time they won back-to-back Pac-10 championships was in 1995-1996 and 1996-1997.
