E.J. Woods, the 6-1, 205 pound safety prospect from Encino (Calif.) Crespi, is seen here boxing.

A Taft High School administrator organized a boxing club at Taft, which inspired one at Crespi. The clubs at the two schools literally squared off Friday night.

Woods said boxing is just a hobby, which he believes will help his footwork in football.

"This is not going to be career. I'm a football player," Woods told the Daily News. "But this a great experience, and I'm definitely getting something out of it."
