Woods Takes Back Commitment

E.J. Woods, the 6-1, 205-pound safety prospect from Encino (Calif.) Crespi who verbally committed to UCLA on Saturday, now reneges on that commitment -- at least for the time being. Woods explains why he committed and why he is now de-committing...

Caught up in the emotion of Saturday's "Meet and Greet" with the UCLA coaches on campus, Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety E.J. Woods committed to UCLA.

Now, Woods said he may have jumped the gun.

"I'm de-committing from UCLA but I'm still looking at them very closely," said Woods. "It's still too early and I'm just keeping my options open."

Woods said that UCLA remains the frontrunner for his services, but that he's going to take some more time before he decides for good.

"I still like UCLA, but I want to look at all of my options before I make my final decision," said Woods.
