Developments in Basketball

There are two developments in the basketball program today, one about a current player and his future, and another about Alex Legion, the 6-4 senior prospect from Mouth of Wilson (Virg.) Oak Hill Academy who was recently released from his National Letter of Intent from Michigan...

UCLA sophomore post player, Ryan Wright, will transfer from UCLA following this season, sources have indicated.

Wright will finish out the school year before transferring.

It's believed that the reason for Wright's transfer is entirely a playing time issue.

It's unknown if Wright will consider transferring to Santa Clara, which now has former UCLA assistant Kerry Keating as its head coach. Keating was Wright's primary recruiter when he came out of high school in Canada two years ago.

Also, Scout.com is hearing that Alex Legion, the 6-4 senior shooting guard from Mouth Of Wilson (Virg.) Oak Hill, will not consider UCLA.

Legion, who was let out of his National Letter of Intent to Michigan, will consider Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky and, again, Michigan.

It's believed that Legion's family, in Michigan, considers UCLA too far.
