Morgan To See Many Coaches

The #29-ranked player in the national class of 2008, the 6-10 center J'mison Morgan from Texas, has arranged a very ambitious schedule for the coaches of his choice to come spend some time in his living room this fall, including UCLA's Ben Howland...

Dallas South Oak Cliff stud J'mison Morgan isn't ready to take official visits but he is ready to advance his recruitment. Remember, not everyone must have the same approach to recruiting. While some kids are taking official visits to schools they picked years ago, others are sifting through the process.

Morgan is going to take his time. He's got a plan that will reach into at October.

"I'm going to take 8 home visits and then after that I'll decide which five I'll visit," Morgan said. "I start home visits on the 9th and I go all the way up until the next Monday."

Alabama kicks things off then – in no particular order – LSU, Kentucky, Kansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, UCLA and Louisville will grace his living room.

Why this approach? "I had so many schools that wanted to get in and I hadn't really talked to many of the head coaches so I decided to base it on how I liked them in my home." Morgan contends he'll definitely pick 5 schools to visit and the in-homes will feed the process.

"I'm just looking at how my mom likes them and what they tell me about the school. It's basic stuff."

The 6-foot-10, 265 pound center is ranked No. 29 in the nation by Scout.com.
