Bruin Recruit Round-up: Week 9

Many of UCLA's committed players had big nights Friday, including Aundre Dean, the Texas running back, Chino Hills tight end Cory Harkey and Lawndale Leuzinger linebacker Uona Kaveinga, among others...

Week nine had several key league games, and some big blowouts as league playoffs berths were clinched along with league titles.

Game of the Week: Long Beach Poly def. Compton, 42-14
The Jackrabbits still own the Moore League, routing the Tarbabes by 28 and winning their 72nd straight league. UCLA-committed DE Datone Jones had eight tackles in the loss for the Tarbabes.

Katy def. Alief Elsik, 45-6
What would UCLA commit Aundre Dean do for an encore after a big game last week? How about rush for 207 yards on 12 carries, including a state-record tying 99-yard touchdown run as well as a 60-yard touchdown run. Dean averaged 17.25 yards a carry and helped Katy, ranked #5 in the country, stay unbeaten.
