A Few Stick Out for Kenny Hall

Kenny Hall, a 6-9 junior prospect from the state of Georgia, who is originally from Southern California, has taken a handful of unofficial visits and he's starting to develop a group of favorites from the schools recruiting him...

The state of Georgia is unloading talent right and left these days and their 2009 crop of players might be their best yet.

Among the best post prospects in the state is Kenny Hall, of Stone Mountain (Ga.) Redan, and his recruitment is starting to heat up.

At this stage in the game, Hall already claims scholarship offers from Georgia, Clemson, Wake Forest and Tennessee. Georgia Tech, UCLA, Florida and LSU are involved as well.

"I like Tennessee, UCLA and Georgia," Hall said. "Those are probably the biggest schools. I like them because those are really the only schools that I've been to visit, as far as visits."

"I'm from L.A., so that's why UCLA is up there," he continued. "When I went up to Tennessee they showed me a good time and I went to Clemson too and they showed me a good time."

Hall was supposed to take a visit to Florida last weekend, but there was a conflict with one of his scrimmages. He also hopes to take a trip to LSU in the near future.

Although his recruitment is certainly taking off, Hall's main focus right now is on his high school season, and recently he went head-to-head in a scrimmage with the best prospect in the 2009 class, Derrick Favors.

"It didn't really go too good for either one of us," Hall said. "I was struggling from the field and shooting free throws and he wasn't shooting good from the field either."

Shortly after Hall matched up with Favors, Stone Mountain participated in a preseason holiday tournament and Hall averaged 20 points during the three game tourney.

"We just came out of a Thanksgiving tournament at Miller Grove," Hall said. "The first game I had 17 and the other two games I had a little over twenty."

Hall kicks off his season against Cedar Grove on Saturday.
