Editor's Note: While Anthony Stover doesn't mention UCLA in this update, we at BRO want to make sure that our readers are current with all of the potential UCLA prospects. We feel that Stover very well could be someone UCLA will show interest in.

Anthony Stover, 6-10 JR C La Canada (Calif.) Renaissance, is one of the top post prospects in the west for 2009. He's very long and still growing into his body. He's made significant progress since last summer.

I spoke with Stover recently and asked about the programs that are recruiting him.

"Stanford, Texas – I'm liking Texas a lot right now, Arizona State is up at the top and Washington State. I really like Coach Bennett," said Stover.

Stover talked a little about the things he'll consider when choosing a school.

"The academics are a big thing," said Stover. "I want to major in economics or business. Playing in the tournament is important – I want to be with a team that has a history of doing well. And I want to go to a program where I can play."

I asked Stover if he had a dream school when he was growing up.

"North Carolina was my favorite," said Stover. "And Michigan State, because of Magic Johnson."

When asked if his parents have any preference for his college choice, Stover said, "My Mom really likes Stanford. She has a good relationship with Coach Johnson."

Stover said he's not close to making a decision yet.

"I'll probably decide after the summer, maybe in the fall," said Stover.

A very good student, Stover told me he has a 3.7 GPA. Stover attended UCLA's camp last summer and has been to a couple of UCLA home games so far this season.
