, the 6-2 receiver from Inglewood (Calif.), took an unofficial visit to UCLA
on Saturday with a small handful of 2009 recruits, witnessing the Bruins basketball game with Oregon
and meeting with the new coaching staff.
"It went pretty well," said Evans. "Coach (Rick) Neuheisel is a real good guy."
Neuheisel and the Bruins also became the ninth school to offer Evans.
"Yeah, they offered me," said Evans, the offer from the Bruins being his fifth from the Pac-10.
Aside from UCLA, Evans has been offered by USC, Oregon, Arizona and Cal from the Pac-10 and LSU, Notre Dame, Colorado and UNLV outside the Pac-10.
He also met offensive coordinator Norm Chow and receivers coach Reggie Moore while in Westwood.
"They're great too," said Evans.
During his junior season at Inglewood, Evans had 37 catches for 700 yards and six touchdowns. Academically, Evans has a 3.5 GPA and scored a 1230 on the SAT, qualifying him by NCAA standards.
