UCLA's four committed recruits for 2008 have been selected to play on the 10-man team that will face the World Select Team in the annual game.
They are Jrue Holiday, the 6-3 guard from North Hollywood (Calif.) Campbell Hall; Jerime Anderson, the 6-1 point guard from Anaheim (Calif.) Canyon; Malcolm Lee, the 6-4 guard from Riverside (Calif.) North, and the 6-8 Drew Gordon, from San Jose (Calif.) Archbishop Mitty.
Together they are the #1 recruiting class in the nation, according to Scout.com, and they'll play together for the first time as a unit in the game.
The event will take place April 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Portland, Oregon's Rose Garden and be nationally televised by Fox Sports Net.
The World Select Team will consist of some of the best players from other countries 19 years old and younger.
The ten-man team also includes Al-Farouq Aminu (Norcross H.S. / Norcross, Ga.), committed to Wake Forest; Ed Davis (Benedictine H.S. / Richmond, Va.), committed to North Carolina; Demar DeRozan (Compton H.S. / Compton, Calif.), committed to USC; Tyreke Evans (American Christian / Aston, Pa.), uncommitted; Scotty Hopson (University Heights Academy / Hopkinsville, Ky.), uncommitted; and Greg Monroe (Helen Cox H.S. / Gretna, La.), who is committed to Georgetown.
The coach and player selections were made by the USA Basketball Men's Junior Development Committee.
