VIDEO and News on Byron Moore

Byron Moore, the 6-1, 190-pound safety prospect from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne, got some big news Wednesday. Check him out in his junior season as both a safety and wide receiver in these clips...

Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne safety Byron Moore (6-1, 190) picked up his second offer on Wednesday, and it was a big one.

"UCLA called my coach and told me to call them," Moore said. "So I called Coach (Todd) Howard and UCLA offered me today."

Moore's first offer came from Arizona, but the offer from the Bruins was one that made a big impression.

"I am really happy about the offer from UCLA because they're close to home," said Moore. "My family was really excited about it, too."

Moore said that UCLA was offering him as a safety, and he said that he felt his trip to UCLA last weekend could lead to an offer. He said: "Things went good when I went up there, and Coach Howard said they sat down and watched my film with Coach (Rick) Neuheisel and they all really liked it. Coach Howard said he wants me to call again tomorrow and talk with Coach Neuheisel and Coach (DeWayne) Walker, too. He said they were putting the official offer in the mail today."

Check out junior film of Moore in 2007, when he caught 41 passes for 823 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 86 tackles, five interceptions and two deflections. He also amassed 343 yards in kickoff returns.
