OL Prospect Looking at UCLA

Ryan Harris from Minnesota is TheInsiders No. 6 rated offensive linemen in the country. Some major programs in the east and west are all over him. Will he visit UCLA?

Ryan Harris, 6-5 255, 4.7, Saint Paul (Minn.) Cretin Durham Hall, told us the schools that are at the top of his list are mostly from back east. "I'm hearing the most from Notre Dame, Michigan and Miami. Those are the three that are recruiting me the hardest. Minnesota and Wisconsin are calling a lot as well."

Asked if he was still considering the west coast schools, Harris said, "I'm either going to be visiting Stanford or UCLA, or both of them. I hope to decide on those trips probably in the next week."

He has been receiving regular calls from UCLA. "Coach Weber has been calling from UCLA. He's been calling a fair amount."

As far as narrowing his list of schools, Harris said, "No, I really haven't. I'm still looking at a lot of places."

Harris has already visited Miami officially with his parents on the weekend of October 18-20. He was there for camp over the summer, so he's quite familiar with the campus and facilities already. He has offical trips scheduled to Notre Dame (December 6) and Michigan (December 13).

According to Harris, Cretin Durham is doing well this season. "We are doing real well. We are in the quarterfinals of the state tournament. I play nose tackle on defense. On offense I play both tackle and guard depending on the offensive formation." Every college program is recruiting Harris for offensive line.

Harris said emphatically that he wants to take all his trips before making any decision.

He is fully qualified and a very good student.
