VIDEO: Neuheisel on Monday Practice

Head Coach Rick Neuheisel talks about the few injured, a veteran who leaves the team because of injury, what he thought of the tape of the scrimmage, the improving offense, and more...

Monday's practice was without pads, and at a noticeably slower tempo.

Taylor Embree, the freshman wide receiver, continued to look good, catching just about every catchable ball thrown at him.

It wasn't generally a good day for the offense, with the quarterbacks struggling as a group. Ben Olson struggled particularly, while Patrick Cowan was a bit better, but not by much.

Offensive Coordinator Norm Chow definitely gave Cowan even more reps than usual -- making Cowan and the 1s repeat plays if they didn't execute them well.

In the OL/DL on-one-ones, junior tackle Micah Kia was exceptional.
