But for Moore, his mind was on another Pac-10 school. So after getting home late Saturday night, and sleeping on it, Moore made his decision on Sunday morning.
"Byron is going to be a UCLA Bruin," said his father, Byron Sr. "He just felt it and felt it was time."
The decision by Moore is the second commitment to the Bruins this weekend, with Sheldon Price from Bishop Amat committing on Saturday.
"We e-mailed all of the coaches this morning and we're talking with them all today. We may go up there because they're hitting the road this week," said Byron Sr.
One of the fastest rising prospects on the West Coast, Moore was selected earlier this month to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. With Moore, UCLA now has four commitments in the secondary and all six of them are on defense. It also gives them their first prospect from the City Section in this class.
"We're all excited that he's staying close to home and that was a big part of his decision," said Byron Sr.
