Greg Smith (6-8, 230) transferred from Fresno (Calif.) Edison to Vallejo (Calif.) Jesse Bethel early this month. He moved in with his uncle in an effort to help him prepare for his senior season and his future in college.

"We feel it is better for [Greg] to come up here to concentrate [with less distractions] on academics and basketball," said Phillip Shelley, Smith's uncle.

Smith is getting ready for summer basketball and trips to the upcoming Amare Stoudemire and LeBron James camps.

Meanwhile, he says Florida and Kansas are showing heavy interest this spring. In addition, he is being bombarded with offers from all over the nation.

"Georgia Tech, Arizona, Washington, and Oregon offered," said Smith. "Washington State, UNLV, SMU, and UTEP also offered me."

The Wildcats and Ducks join Fresno State, USC, and UCLA atop his list of favorites.

Smith says he still prefers to make his decision before the season starts.
