UCLA will hold its 1-Day Camp on Saturday, and there are a number of players that are expected to participate whose performance could determine whether they get a UCLA scholarship offer or not, such as receiver Kevin Cummings, defensive tackle Will Sutton or tight end Marlion Bennett...
Much of the drama that was expected of UCLA's 1-Day Camp on Saturday stemmed from the anticipation of which quarterback would be offered a scholarship out of the camp.
But with UCLA having offered Richard Brehaut, and Brehaut having accepted the offer and committing to the Bruins, some of the drama was, well, lost.
Brehaut, though, will still be throwing at the 1-Day Camp, free from the pressure of auditioning, while having a chance to recruit some of the prospects at the camp.
Several big-named players are expected to be there, though some have obligations, such as taking the SAT in the morning (some could show up for the afternoon session) or being involved in a passing league tournament in the Valley.
Still, here is a look at some of the top prospects expected. This, obviously isn't comprehensive, but some of the names we've been told are intending to participate.
Richard Brehaut, QB, Los Osos
Will Prescott, OL, Riverside King
Of course, UCLA can't extend a scholarship offer to a player while he's on campus for such an event, but we'll keep you updated if, after the camp, UCLA offers any of its participants.
